About Mary Ellen

Since she was a child, Mary Ellen had a deep-rooted passion for making things beautiful with her hands, fueling her curiosity; little did she know it would lead her to a career as an accomplished graphic designer and illustrator. She was a published and award-winning salon owner, colorist, makeup artist, senior stylist, and educator for top New York salons in the fashion and beauty industry.

As a result of an unexpected car accident, she was determined to make the difficult decision to choose new ways to express her artistic creativity. While in college, she gravitated toward journalism, information technology, illustration, graphic design, and photography, creating an outlet far exceeding her expectations. Mary Ellen’s unwavering tenacity and creativity have manifested themselves to become an accomplished artist despite the physical challenges she faces each day as a full-time wheelchair user.
