Mary Ellen Pataro

“Creativity is a blank canvas — an empty space that fills with the vision of a creative, imaginative collaboration between the artist and the client — until perfection is reached and brought to colorful life.”

About Mary Ellen

Since Mary Ellen was a young child, making things beautiful has always been a deep-rooted passion. She could always be found creating things with her hands and fueling her curiosity. Little did she know it would lead her to the illustration and design she loves to do today. For two decades, she was an accomplished, published, award-winning salon owner and a colorist, makeup artist, senior stylist, and educator for top New York salons in the fashion and beauty industry.

As a result of an unexpected car accident, she was led to make the difficult decision to choose new ways to express her artistic creativity. The challenges that came from the accident forced her to search for art forms that allowed her to work with her hands. While in college, she gravitated toward illustration and design, both of which created an outlet that far exceeded her expectations.  Despite the challenges she has faced, Mary Ellen’s unwavering tenacity and creativity have manifested themselves through the creative outlets she pursues as an entrepreneur today.
